ANNOUNCING THE 45th YEAR
REUNION OF THE CLASS OF 1971

The NHS Class of 1971, 45th reunion celebration will take place over two nights, November 4th and 5th, at the Tides Inn, 480 King Carter Drive, Irvington, VA 22480, telephone (866) 973 – 9488 www.tidesinn.com. The cost is $85.00 per person (pp). You can register and pay for the reunion online at www.northumberland71.org. If you elect to pay online, there will be an additional cost of $5 per person processing fee, or you can register online and mail a check or money order made payable to NHS Class of 1971 at no additional cost. You may also elect to make payments. Please contact Brenda at 304 270 6716 or me at 571 721 9476, if you would like to setup a payment plan.
The last day to purchase tickets is August 31, 2016. Please send your payment to Lena Handy, 10902 White House Road, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774 or purchase your ticket on our class website. Advance reservations only – there will be no tickets sold at the door.
Accomodations: We have reserved 10 rooms for a two night stay minimum (November 4th – November 6th) at $158 per night. The group rate quoted is a net, non-commissionable rate based on single/double occupancy and is subject to tax, which is currently 7.3%, consisting of 5.3% Virginia state tax and 2% local occupancy tax. The group rate will be honored 1 day before our group is scheduled to arrive and 1 day after our group is scheduled to depart based on room and rate availability.
In order to assign individuals to rooms, room reservations will be required. Please phone in your reservation to (866) 973-9488. It is important you contact the resort at least thirty days prior to your arrival date and identify yourself as part of The Northumberland High School Class of 1971 reunion group. Any requests for special room arrangements must be made at the time of your reservation.
In addition to the room rates, there will be a daily resort fee of $25.00 per room, based on single or double occupancy, per day, plus applicable taxes, and a one-time porterage fee of $7.50 per person. These fees are separate and distinct from the room rate and from taxes. These charges will be posted as separate items to your account. However, the Alumni will pay the $50 resort fee for the 1st 10 alumni that reserve and pay for a two night stay.
